The Venture Fund supports K-12 educational initiatives that provide exemplars of action, innovation and excellence within the Foundation's local community.

THE ADVANCEMENT PROJECT
The Advancement Project's (AP) mission is to extend upward mobility to all citizens. The Foundation is proud to support the AP's efforts to provide adequate and equitable school facilities for children in the Los Angeles Unified School District. In high-need urban areas, the AP has been a critical force in using data-driven analysis to highlight inequalities in the distribution of school facilities funds. The AP has played a vital role in assuring that Los Angeles students have access to a safe and nurturing learning environment.

THE RIORDAN FOUNDATION'S RX FOR READING PROGRAM
Rx for Reading is an early childhood literacy initiative that supports local reading programs by purchasing computers and books for classrooms and school libraries. Since 2001, the Foundation has provided operating support to Rx for Reading so that the organization may continue its efforts to provide economically disadvantaged students with the tools to become lifelong readers.
